In series, the current has the same path to go through the three lamps. Hence, the same current will flow through the three lamps. Now, if the one lamps breaks, the path will be broken and the current won't be able to flow as the circuit is not complete. Hence, the other two lamps won't glow.
In parallel, The current has three paths through which it will flow and if one lamp breaks then the current will have other two paths through which it can flow. Hence, the two lamps will still glow.
