Given : Charge on uniformly charged ring is Q and the radius of this ring is R.

To find : Electric field at the centre of uniformly charged ring of radius R is (Q is charge on ring and x is distance along axis).

solution : we know, electric field due to ring at a distance x from the centre of ring is given by,

E=\frac{KQx}{(x^2+R^2)^{3/2}}

so it is clear that electric field due to ring at the centre of it is given at x = 0

i.e., E=\frac{KQ\times0}{(0^2+R^2)^{3/2}}

= 0

Therefore, electric field at the centre of uniformly charged ring of radius R is zero.
