▶A MOTOR IS A DEVICE WHICH CONVERTS ELECTRICAL ENERGY INTO MECHANICAL ENERGY.

▶ A MOTOR WORKS ON THE PRINCIPLE THAT WHEN A RECTANGULAR COIL IS PLACED IN A MAGNETIC FIELD AND CURRENT IS PASSEDTHROUGH IT, A FORCE ACTS ON THE COIL WHICH ROTATES IT CONTINUOUSLY.

Here is your answer ....

ELECTRIC MOTOR

Electric motor is a rotating device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Electric motor is used as an important component in electric fans, refrigerators, mixers, washing machines, computers, MP3 player etc .

PRINCIPLE :-

Electric motor is based on fact the current carrying conductor placed perpendicular to the magnetic field experiences a force .

ELECTRIC GENERATOR

An electric device used to convert mechanical energy (kinetic energy) into electric energy (electricity ) is called electric generator .

PRINCIPAL :- Electric generator works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When the coil of electric generator rotates in a magnetic field , induced current flows in the circuit connected with the coil.

Types of electric generator :-

☆ AC generator : AC generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy in the form of alternating current or AC .

☆ DC generator :DC generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy in the form of direct current or DC.
