The function of an electric fuse is to break the circuit when the circuit becomes overloaded and current rises too much suddenly, so to keep the appliances same, the circuit has to be broken
So, the fuse is rated at 2 A this means that the fuse will break and ultimately break the circuit if a current more than 2 A passes through the circuit
