r =  \frac{r1 \times r2}{r1 + r2}  \\ r1  = 24 \\ r2 = 6 \\ then \\ r =  \frac{24 \times 6}{24 + 6}  = 4.8ohm

 total \: current \: using \: ohm \: law \\ i =  \frac{v}{r}  \\ i =  \frac{12}{4.8}  = 2.5 \\

In a parallel circuit, the potential difference across each component is same. Thus, potential difference across the conductor = 12 V
