Electricity supply should be disconnected fro the mains in case of seepage of water near an electrical point. Why?

Human body and water are good conductors of electricity . If someone who is wet gets in contact with electricity , the person will get electric shock . So it is advisable to turn of electrical supply in case of seepage of water.
