when electric current is passed through aqueous or molten state of NaCl.
we get the negative ions of Cl and the positive ions of Na. these ions migrate towards their opposite charged poles.so,Cl ions migrate towards anode and Na towards cathode.
but as soon as current is stopped you again get NaCl.
