Ca = 2,8,8,2 [Ca need to give 2 electrons to attain stable configuration]
Cl = 2,8,7[each atom of Cl needs 1 electron to attain stable electronic configuration]
Ca [2 electrons more] + 2Cl [need 2 electrons as 2 atoms of Cl is present] ⇒ CaCl2
