when we go towards period the electronegativity is decrease

Electronegativity is the tendency of an elemnt to attract a shared pair of electrons towards itself. In periodic table it increases as we go from left to right and decreases as we go from up to down. Fluorine is the most electronegative. Group 18 has noble elements so they are not electronegative
