electronic configuration of calcium is 2,8,8,2 but
actually maximum number of electrons of third shell is 18. so why can't we we write 10 over there instead of 8,2. plz friends don't spam if u know the correct ans plz then only answer it​

The 3d sublevel isn’t occupied until Z=21 (scandium). Therefore, calcium does not have 10 electrons in the third energy level.
