electronic configuration up to 45 elements
Answers
Answer:
This list of electron configurations of elements contains all the elements in increasing order of atomic number.
To save room, the configurations are in noble gas shorthand. This means part of the electron configuration has been replaced with the element symbol of the noble gas symbol. Look up the electronic configuration of that noble gas and include that value before the rest of the configuration. This table is available to download as a PDF to use as a study sheet.
The Electronic configuration is the distribution of electrons in the atoms in atomic orbitals.
Explanation:
- The Electronic configuration of an element is the notation of the manner in which the electrons are distributed in the atomic orbitals.
- On writing the electronic configuration a systematic approach is carried out.
- It follows a standardized notation in which the energy level and the type of orbitals are written first then the number of electrons present in the orbital is written in superscript.
Following three rules are followed while writing the electronic configuration :-
Aufbaus Principle:-It states that in the ground state of an atom, an electron enters the orbital with the lowest energy first and subsequent electrons are fed in the order of increasing energies.
Pauli's exclusion principle:- It states that no two electrons in the same electrons have identical values of quantum numbers.
Hunds Rule of maximum multiplicity:-In case of filling of orbitals with electrons in the ground state, every orbital must singly be occupied before the pairing starts.
Electronic configuration is as follows :-
