Electrons do not stay in a nucleus, then how do electrons come from the nucleus in the process of β-decay?

The proton stays in the nucleus and the electron leaves the atom with high energy, and we call it abeta particle. When a betaparticle is emitted from thenucleus the nucleus has one more proton and one less neutron.
