The motion of any particle is governed by the direction of force acting on it.

Inside a potential difference an electric field (E) exist. The direction of E is from lower potential to higher potential. The magnitude of E = integral(V.dl)

The force (F) acting on a charged particle due to the presence of E is given by

F=qE, where q is the charge of the particle.

The charge of an electron is negative, hence F=-qE. The negative sign in the equation signifies that the direction of force is opposite to electric field, i.e. higher potential to lower potential.

Hence, an electron moves from lower to higher potential.

Hope it helps u

Mark as brainliest if it does.

vishal8753: u have said that direction of field is lower to higher potential. at last u be written e moves from higher to lower potential
Ayushi1600: Oh I m sorry it should be lower to higher at the last
Ayushi1600: Sorry for the mistake
Ayushi1600: I corrected it
vishal8753: so if we take battery the current flown is from - to +?
vishal8753: in reality
Ayushi1600: No the direction of current is from +to-
