Electrostatic experiments deal with the static surface charges. It cannot be conducted in humid days because during humid days, the amount of water in atmosphere is very high. Water, being a polar molecule, neutralises some of the charges on the surface and consequently, the results become erroneous. Therefore, electrostatic experiments are not conducted in humid days.

Electrostatic charges on the objects in the experiment are leaked into the humid air. Water in the damp air absorbs some charge, altering charges on the bodies in the experiment. The forces among the bodies and amount of charge are altered.
Hence, the best time to conduct such experiments is during the hot dry days.
