Both cities were built on river banks. While Mohenjo-Daro was built on the right bank of the Indus River, Harappa was built on the left bank of the river Ravi.In terms of their circuit, both measure about 5 km.The ground plans, which included the street layouts, house blocks are also common in many ways.Other facilities like the water supply, drainage and the granaries also display many similarities. There are several other similar elements like paved bathrooms, indoor plumbing, drainpipes made of bricks, a network of brick lined sewage ways, etc.
