Elements of weather:
Answers
Answer:
There are six main components, or parts, of weather. They are temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity, precipitation, and cloudiness.
✏Required Answer:
we know that temperature, atmospheric pressure, winds, humidity, clouds, and precipitation are the elements of weather.
Let's know more about them:
• Temperature
The degree of heat of an object or degree of heat at a place is known as Temperature.
Thus, the quantity by which you can compare hotness or coldness of the body is called temperature.
• Atmospheric pressure
You might have enjoyed boating with your parents several times. Have you observed that when you sit on a boat, its one side is pressed down side ways. Actually, it happens due to the weight of your body. you must have read in your science textbook, that any object has weight.
Air also has weight, it's a highly compressible of gases which applies pressure on the earth's surface by exerting its weight. Thus, Atmospheric pressure is defined as The pressure exerted by the vertical column of air lying about a particular area.
• Winds
Air always remains in motion. sometimes it move horizontally and sometime vertically. The horizontal movement of air is called wind. Air moves horizontly from an area of high pressure to low pressure. Thus, the air moving in direction is essentially parallel with the earth's surface is called wind.
• Humidity
We know that water vapors is always present in the atmosphere. The amount of this water vapour paper is called humidity. the moisness or the dryness of the air, depends upon the atmospheric humidity. rainfall depends on the level of atmospheric humidity.
• clouds
water from water bodies like lakes, Seas, oceans, rivers, evaporate due to the sun's rays and form vapour. These Vapour mixes with the atmosphere. It Rises higher and higher along with the air. a collection of such manute of water particles is known as cloud.
• Precipitation
we get rainfall from the cloud. this is called precipitation.
