elements (zn,cd and hg ) of sub group 12 group are know as volatile metals.why ?

the d- orbital of Zn, cd ,hg are completely filled due to their completely filled d- orbital they have weak metallic bonding. and least compact paking ,there for they are known as volatile metals.
