Mosquitoes bite a person who was affected by Elephantiasis and still has the microfilariae larvae (children of the nematod worms that cause elephantiasis) living in his/her blood. These non-infective-larvae go into the mosquito when the mosquito sucks human blood and goes into two stages of growth inside mosquito to become as an infective-larvae. This infective-larvae move to the mosquito head and when next time the mosquito bites a person the larvae injected into the person and inside the person's blood stream and lymphatic nodes these larvae grow into adult worms.
