let 1/X = a , 1/y = b

:. 5a-3b = 1 ---------(eq1)

:. 3a/2 + 2b/3 = 5

=> 6a+6b/6 = 5

a+b= 5----------(eq2)

multiply (eq2) with 3 and add to (eq1)

=> 5a-3b = 1

3a+3b = 15

-----------------

8a = 16

a = 2 then

------------------

from (eq2)

a+b = 3

2+b = 3

b = 1

now a = 1/X

:. X = 1/a

X = 1/2

now b = 1/y

:. y = 1/b

:. y = 1/1 = 1

please thank me

I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU
