eliminate theta from the following :-
X is equal to a cosec theta
and ,
Y is equal to b cot theta
PLEASE SOLVE PLEASE​

 \frac {x^2}{a^2} =  1 + \frac {y^2}{b^2}.

Step-by-step explanation:

x = a cosec ө

=> cosec ө = x/a ----------(1)

y = b cot ө

=> cot ө = y/b ----------(2)

Now, we know that,

cosec^2 ө - cot^2 ө = 1

From (1) & (2)

=> (x/a)^2 - (y/b)^2 = 1

=>  \frac {x^2}{a^2} =  1 + \frac {y^2}{b^2}.
