Answer:

solution:

-10x-5y=-30. (1)

5x+y = 12. (2)

multiplying equation (2) by 5

25x+5y= 60. (3)

Adding equation (1) and (2)

-10x-5y= -30

25x+5y=60

15x =30

x = 30÷15

x = 2

and

putting the value of x in equation (2)

5 (2)+ y = 12

10+y = 12

y= 12-10

y= 2

Hence , x = 2 and y = 2

-10x-5y= -30 _ (1)

y+5x= 12 _ (2)

using elimination method

-10x-5y = -30 _ (1)

10x+2y = 24 _(2) ×2

___________

3y. = 6. _ ( adding )

y = 6÷3

= 2

sub y in (2)

2 + 5x =12

5x = 10

x = 2

x = 2 , y = 2 is the solution
