X+Y=3 .............(1)

4X-3Y=26...........(2)

Multiply eqn (1) by 3, we get,

3X+ 3Y= 9...........(3)

On adding eqn (3)&(2), we get,

(3X+4X) + (3Y-3Y) = 9+26

( 7X ) + 0 = 35

X= 35/7

{X= 5.}

On putting the value of X in eqn (1), we get,

5 + Y = 3

Y = 3- 5

{ Y = -2.}
