When an object is immersed in a liquid it experiences an upward force known as Buoyant Force. This phenomenon of experiencing an upward force is known as Buoyancy.

It is as an upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an object immersed in a fluid.

Buoyancy is the ability or tendency of an object to float in a fluid, which can be a liquid or a gas. This happens because fluid pressure increases with depth. ... It says that the buoyant force on a submerged object is equal to the force of gravity on the liquid displaced by the object.
