Ingestion in Amoeba..!!

Amoeba is a unicellular organism where single cell performs all the processes like nutrition, respiration, excretion, reproduction etc. The process of procuring food is called as nutrition. Amoeba extends its pseudopodia when the food is found. Pseudopodium just wraps around the food molecule and forms a food vacuole around it. Inside the food molecule lot of digestive enzymes are secreted to break and digest the food molecule into smaller absorbable substances.

\orange{Ingestion}

Ameoba takes in food using temporary finger like projections of the cell surface called \bold{Pseudopodia}

\blue{Digestion}

Pseudopodia fusses with the food particle forming, food vacuole. Digestive enzymes from cytoplasm diffuses inside the food vacuole and the digestion of the food takes place inside the food vacuole

\red{Absorption \: And \: Assimilation}

The digested food then diffuses inside the cytoplasm

\purple{Egestion}

The remaining undigested material is moved to the surface of the cell and is thrown out
