Answer:
Recently I had been to the hill station of Udhagamandalam, popularly known as Ooty. It is located in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu and called the ‘Queen of hill stations’. The winding road to Ooty, presented breath-taking view of the scenery below. Ooty is green, with huge trees all around. A beautiful artificial lake in the centre of Ooty, provides boating facility to visitors and residents.
The Rose Garden in Ooty is very famous and known to have over 2,000 varieties of roses. The Government Botanical Garden, set up in the 19th century has several rare plants and very old trees.
The climate in Ooty was very chill during our visit, with fog and mist. Properly attired, it was very enjoyable

Hill stations are always a great attraction for the people. During vacation, especially the Summer holidays, people prefer hill stations. There are many hill stations in the country. Some of them are - Mussorie, Nainital, Manali, Dalhousie etc. Two months ago, I and my friends made a plan to visit Manali.
Before that we took permission from our parents. After a bit of hesitation, they gave us permission. Manali is located in Himachal Pradesh. It is set on the Beas river. We started for it. It took us around 8 hours to reach there. First of all we reached Kullu which is on its bottom. Kullu is famous for its Dussehra.

Report on My Visit to a Hill Station
We did some shopping from the market here. We purchased Himachali Caps as well. After spending some time, we again started for Manali. The path was very dangerous as it was serpentine. On one side there was breathtaking Beas. However, the view was very beautiful.
After sometime, we reached Manali. We took a room in some hotel. It was cold there. So we had wrapped ourselves with hot clothes. After doing some rest and taking our food, we decided to take a round of the city. The Mall Road of the city is very famous.
There were a large no of domestic and international tourists. It was quite amazing that most of them were enjoying ice-cream in that cold weather. We also visited some beautiful places and got ourselves photographed.
The beauty of the place can be guessed from the fact that it was a favorite holiday haunt of our First PM Sh J.L Nehru. Next day we also visited Rohtang Pass. We enjoyed snow-fall there. We spent some hours there. In Manali, we stayed two days. Then we returned home. It was such a nice journey.
