Fear - An abstract unknown force that dwells inside all of us

Good morning everyone present here; I stand in front of you to expatiate on ‘Fear - An abstract unknown force that dwells inside all of us’.

It is true fear is present in each one of us. Greatest challenge for everyone is to overcome one’s fears. Each and every human being has some fear. Some people fear the dark; some fear heights; some fear crowded places; some fear water; some fear wild animals; and so on. Fear is the antithesis of FAITH. Having a little amount of fear is normal; but having inordinate fear of anything is abnormal.

Fear is to be feared because it makes a man timid; and a timid man dies hundred times before he dies; but the brave only once. Fear has been compared to death because it is a negative emotion which causes loss, destruction, panic, and hopelessness in the mind of those who allow fear to take control of their state of mind. Fear deprives you of logic, reasoning, hope, faith, and any expectation of help. In such a state, one loses all hope which leads to capitulation. Defeat and death are certain in this condition. Hence, a man who is timid dies hundred times. Any fearful thought is death thought.

In order to be successful one has to overcome one’s fears. The secret of overcoming fears lies in our courage to face them. The moment we face our fears, they lose power. Those who show this courage are called brave men and women. The secret of overcoming your fears lies in facing them. When you face your fears, you vanquish them. And such people who face them never allow fearful thoughts to cloud their minds. Since they don’t fear, they always win. Brave people die only once when they breathe their last after having lived a fearless and contented life; so they die only once their natural death.

Every one of us is apprehensive of something in the world.

Our fear can be towards a living being or a non-living being too.

As an example, some of us are fearful of going to great eights.

We feel that we will fall from there.

Some of us are fearful of the things like ghosts that we have not seen anywhere.

Therefore fear is a common thing for any human being.
