The trade relation between the east and west came forward in the after the beginning of connectivity through the means of land and water ways.

The circumstances which led to the expansion of trade relation between the east and west are as follows:

1) Surplus production of East:- This was one of the reason for developing trade relation between the east and west. The productivity and yield in the Eastern world was greater than that of the Western world. That's why the surplus production was traded off to other parts of the world.

2) Religion and Travel log:- Religion was another reason which made the connectivity and exchange of ideas from one part to other. The travel log of travellers also helped in maintaining the expansion of trade between east and west.

3) Inavailability of spices in the West:- The spice trade was one of the main product that was traded to the West as people in West prefer Black pepper to preserve their food materials and for taste purposes also.
