Explanation:

In all these land revenue systems, the revenue was fixed at a very high rate. In Permanent settlement, the Company fixed the revenue so high that it became difficult for zamindars to pay revenues to the Company. The settlement was oppressive for villagers as they had to pay high rent to the zamindars.

Answer:

Land revenue system

Explanation:

land revenue system is a triangular system in which Britishers (govt) asked for a fixed rate of revenue which was to be paid by zamindars but these zamindars were free to extract as much money they want due to which Farmers (peasants) had to suffer alot nd were going in debt

This land revenue system is also known as Permanent settlement. It was started in Bengal on 1 may 1793,this was the time when Bengal was in crises due to famines. Britishers thought that this permanent settlement will help both east India company as well as farmers because they will increase the tax but this gave a negative impact as at the time of famines farmers were not able to pay tax, when farmers did not pay the tax zamindars also did not pay the tax as they were not getting tax from farmers due to which Britishers auctioned the land of zamindars

Afterwards Britishers forcefully asked farmers to produce Indigo due to which agriculture sector started declining and at the time of Independence our agriculture sector was backward and we have a stagnant economy
