USSR had immense global influence during the Cold War. Russia was a part of the USSR. USSR was the second most powerful country in the world and was the leader of the socialist and communist group of countries. It was a nuclear and space power. The USSR also yielded great influence through its support to anti-colonial movement in various parts of the world.
