Emerging trends the cultivators are attracted towards various kinds of alternative technique for cereals crops and there is slow but steady change undergoing.  

As good inputs are available farmers are growing horticultural crops with an alternative to food grains.  

Some water intensive foodgrains (paddy) and cash crops (sugarcane) losing interest in favour of water efficient crops/pulses and oil seeds.  

These aren't water efficient only and they are climate resilient also.
