Emerson effect is a phenomenon where there is a increase in the rate of photosynthesis when the chloroplast are exposed to lights above 680nm and when both the wavelength of light are exposed simultaneously there can be seen a huge rise in the level of photosynthesis of the plant. It shows that there are two photosystems present in the plant.
