Emigration is the act of leaving a resident country or place of residence with the intent to settle elsewhere or Neighboring countries. ex If you live in Ireland and you move to the United States and try to set up permanent citizenship

Immigration is the international movement of people to a destination country of which they are not natives or where they do not possess citizenship in order to settle or reside there, ex a woman who moves from Mexico to the United States in search of better job,better quality of life and better education.
