Age of Emily = x - 5

Six years ago :

Age of Shiksha = x - 6

Age of Emily = x - 5 - 6 = x - 11

According to the problem :

x - 6 = 19

x = 19 + 6

x = 25.

Age of Emily = x - 5 = 25 - 5 = 20

therefore, age of Emily = 20 years.
