Emotional intelligence refers to the ability of a human being to express, nurture, control and modify various emotional feelings.Intellectual intelligence measures the logical or scholastic abilities of an individual which consist of logical reasoning, general knowledge, quantitative abilities and so forth.

Explanation:

According to psychologist Daniel Goleman, the intellectual intelligence doesn't comprehensively portray the abilities and virtues of human intelligence and is therefore an incomplete measure of overall human intelligence.Hence, according to Goleman, emotional intelligence is generally more important than intellectual intelligence. It is advocated that only few criteria such as general knowledge, logical thinking, quantitative reasoning, situational alertness, critical thinking cannot completely capture the entire range of human intelligence and thought process.Hence,a researcher has to dig deep and understand how well an individual can cope with emotional stress and challenges or how effectively he or she can understand the emotional feelings or behavior of the other person because nowadays, emotional maturity, understanding and empathy has become an integral attribute of both personal and professional success. Thus, intellectual intelligence only provides a narrow projection of human thought process and should incorporate emotional intelligence in the evaluation process.
