Emperor Claudius passed a law legalizing  farting at banquets. This was due to his concern for public health.

And initially farting at banquets was illegal before Emperor Claudius made it a law by legalizing it.

He was born on August 1, 10 BC, Lugdunum  and died on October 13, 54, Rome.

Claudius was Roman emperor from 41 to 54 and also a member of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, he was the son of Drusus and Antonia Minor.
