Emperor penguins found in Antarctica.
The Emperor's Eggs
Emperor penguins are very special because they are the only animals to survive
the Antarctic winter. These are large heavy flightless' birds.
These birds live in large colonies. They spend their summer swimming in the
ocean in search of food such as fish and squida. Penguins are excellent swimmers
and can dive very deep and hold their breath for twenty minutes.
In winters, penguins travel many kilometres to find some shelter from the freezing
winds. They do this to lay eggs and hatch them. Hundreds of penguins walk in a
single line.
