Emphysema is a form of chronic (long-term) lung disease. This and chronic bronchitis are the two main types of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the third-leading cause of death in the United States.

Emphesema:  

• 'Emphysema' is one of the COPD ('Chronic observatory pulmonary diseases') which damages the air sac in the lungs. This results in, your 'body does not obtain the oxygen' it needs.
• 'Emphysema' makes the 'breath to be difficult and smooth'. It results in chronic cough and has trouble breathing during exercise.
• This is mostly found among the cigarette smoking patient. Consequently it is better to take on-time treatment for this disease.
