Energy contained in fuel can be considered and outcome of solar energy.

All the energy stored in oil, gas, and coal originally came from the sun, captured through photosynthesis. within the same way that we burn wood to release energy that trees capture from the sun, we burn fossil fuels to release the energy that ancient plants captured from the sun.

  • All fossil fuels exist due to decaying animal and plant life.
  • All animal life is around due to plant life.
  • All flowers is around because of the sun.
  • In fact, every single thing on earth is here due to the sun, we’d be a dead planet barren of life if the sun weren’t there.
  • There are some facts to face things off. All energy comes from the sun.
  • All living things are made from cells and require carbohydrate for anabolism and metabolism.
  • When living things die and decompose, a number of the cells do turn back into carbon dioxide as well.
  • But some living things become fossilized rather than fully decomposing.
  • They get trapped under layers of earth which accumulate and that they undergo molecular transformation due to the intense pressure and heat from being deep underground after millions of years.

All fossil fuels are therefore the byproduct of dead plants and animals which came from carbohydrates which came from the daylight as a result of photosynthesis. during a way we are using “past energy from the sun”.
