Yes, the energy from various sources is derived from sun. The whole energy in the world is directly or indirectly received by sun. The sun is a most important source of energy in the world. Let's take an process to prove it.
We eat food and alive due to plants but plants make their process by using process of photosynthesis in which sun is involved and some herbivores animals eat plants and herbivores are eaten by some other carnivores animals and they get energy and after their death they formed humus due to which energy is stored in soil and after that same process starts again. From this we conclude that energy is never lossed but it changed in another form and also the energy we all get is related directly or indirectly to sun.

Energy from various sources is considered to have been derived from the sun. Following points can justify the statement.

Energy from fossils fuels are indirectly harnessed from sunlight because. Plants trap sunlight to produce food which ultimately makes biomass. Biomass gets converted to fossil fuels.

  • Biomass will be helping in obtaining wood and gobar gas.
  • Water on the earth gets circulated because of kinetic energy possessed by the sun.
  • Waves and ocean are formed due to the heating of water. Hence sun is indirectly responsible for harnessing Tidal, Wave and Geothermal energy.
