use the formula, \bf{E=\frac{hc}{\lambda}}

where E is energy, h is plank's constant ,\lambda is wavelength and c is the speed of light.

if E is in form of eV and \lambda is in form of angstrom

then use formula, \lambda=\frac{12400}{E}

here, E = 1.14 eV

so, \lambda=\frac{12400}{1.14}

= 10877 Å

hence, maximum wavelength at which silicon starts energy adsorption= 10877 Å
