Energy in food chain is unidirectional. Explain?

food chain is unidirectional as the energy supplied can not come back
for eg: when any organism eat plants then energy supplied to that organism can not be transfered back to plants.

bcz if once energy is transfered ,it does not come to same organism and if received it is'nt received in same amount . hope my answer satisfies uh :)
