Energy in inductor when constant current pass through it

The energy is actually being stored within the magnetic field that surrounds the inductor by the currentflowing through it. ... If the currentflowing through the inductor isconstant as in a DC circuit, then there is no change in the stored energy as P = Li(di/dt) = 0.
