Given :    Estimating is an educated guess: There are times when an estimate is needed and not the actual one

36.5°C   - 22.3°C

37°C - 22°C = 15°C

To Find : 1 How is estimation done in the solution that we have in the problem?

What was done first to the numbers?

What was done next

compare the actual answer to the estimated one

Solution:

Estimation done in the solution is by rounding off the figure and    then doing mathematical operations.

First number were rounded off

36.5°C = 37°C

22.3°C  = 22°C

Then Subtraction was performed

37°C - 22°C = 15°C

Actual = 36.5°C   - 22.3°C = 14.2°C

Difference =  15°C  -  14.2°C = 0.8°C

 0.8°C far is the estimated answer to the actual one

We can rounding off  taking greatest integer

36°C - 22°C  =  14°C  more closer to actual
