This is a great summary of all the single letters which don’t show lateral inversion. There are also pairs of letters which don’t necessarily show lateral inversion (font dependent):pq, bd, EZ/ez (cursive-ish z).
If we include some archaic English letters, we can also have the pairEȜ (E + yogh, dependent on font).
What is Lateral inversion:
The simplest answer to this apparent contradiction: When you look in the mirror, your right ear appears on the right-hand side of the mirror, and your left ear on the left.
So surely you were not expecting the top of your head to appear at the bottom of the mirror and your neck at the top? Lateral Inversion
