the chapter starts with harris and jerome deciding to give work to george.then george describes the story of two men in boveney. then he describes many funny incidents related to towing.then is the incident of george towing along with his cousin.they were for wallingford lock but they couldnt find it. after that they saw some people and asked them about it. they said wallingford lock had been done away with for a year but they were close to cleeve.they were so relieved. at last they reached home.
