• The fire alarm is tested by the electricians.

9. Levi Strauss invented the blue jeans.

• Blue jeans were invented by Levi Strauss.

10. Frank takes photos.

• Photos are taken by Frank.

• The object of the active voice becomes the subject in passive.
• The subject of the active voice becomes the object in passive proceeded by -- "by".
• The main verb in the active voice is changed into 3rd form of the verb.
• The 3rd form must be preceded by verb-be. The tense of the verb be is determined by the tense of the active voice.

Note :-

• There is no passive form for the perfect continuous tense.
• The verb-be is a must for the passive voice.
