Sub.: Water scarcity
Mallikatte is well within the limits of Mangaluru City Corporation and hence I hope the complaints that I place before you will have their place on your high priority list. The people of Mallikatte are going through acute water scarcity. They do not even have enough water to meet their basic necessities. Considering the fact that it is examination time for students, the corporation should try and make life as comfortable as possible for the students.
Callous attitude of citizens who waste a lot of water and the indifference of authorities concerned to the leakage in the main reservoir of water are the cause of water scarcity.
The short-term solution for the problem could be the supply of water through tankers. Long-term plans should include plugging the water wastage and employing more scientific methods of water storage.
While permanent solutions are always better, we the citizens of Mallikatte request you to come up with ad hoc arrangements to end the water crisis in our area immediately.
