During the summer my father planned a trip. He exclaimed,"Hey everyone! Get ready quick. We are going to Manali. I have just found an exciting offer. The family package includes 6 days and 5 nights with free food!". Mom was very pleased. I shook my head down with a sigh. You might be wondering I did so. Well, every time my dad plans something, the plan either gets cancelled or failed due to some or the other reason. And this why I have never stepped out of my homeland, India.
I am from an average, middle-class family. And planning vacations is as hard as climbing a hill. My brother was not very excited either as they too knew that this wasn't going to work. Though my mother, as usual, gets very excited and has very big hopes. She had already started dreaming of the cold, dusty snow of Manali. Having no interest, I too helped mom with her packing.
We were going to leave in a week. Four days had already passed. I still wondered why there wasn't any obstacle. Why hasn't the plan got failed. Slowly I started getting excited. I started believing that this plan would indeed work out.
Well, just one day was left. And we were almost done with packing. And there comes the catastrophe. Dad came rushing to the hall," Hey! I have got an exciting news for you". I thought," Thank god! Our trip is not cancelled. Finally...". He continued,"Guess what? My boss has given me promotion. And...we...are shifting our house to a bungalow!!!!! Yes our trip will get cancelled. But isn't this very good?!!?". Was this really a good news? I was totally speechless...
