Explanation:

The question is based on the poem “Chivvy”, written by Michael Rosen.

The grown-ups always ask the children to behave in a set pattern and listen to them as they give advice. According to elders, these set of rules help the children to grow up as a well mannered and behaved child.

It is important to the society that each child grows up as a good citizen and not as an unruly citizen. For the future of the child and the society, the grownups give good advice which has stood the test of time and so it is wise, if we follow them.

There is nothing wrong in following their advice but at the same time, we must also let the child reason out for developing their individual views and ideas.
