Here is your answer

Neuromuscular junction is a point of contact between the end plate of axon of a motor neuron with surface membrane (sarcolemma) of a muscle cell.

The knob at the end of terminal branches of motor axon is separated from the sarcolemma by a narrow space, the synaptic cleft. The neurotransmitter released from the vesicles of knob of excited motor neuron is acetylcholine which passes through postsynaptic muscle membrane and excitation spreads over the whole muscle fibre making it to contract.

A neuromuscular junction is a place in the body where the axons of motor nerves meet the muscle, allowing them to transmit messages from the brain that cause the muscle to contract and relax. Every organism has thousands of these junctions that control the movements of the body and cause the heart to beat. It is only one example of many connections made between nerves and other parts of the body that result in a successfully functioning organism.
